What is the difference between Classic and Volume eyelash extensions?

A classic set is 1 eyelash extension applied to each adult natural lash on the upper lid. A volume set is 2-10 super fine lashes, applied to each adult natural lash on the upper lid.

*Each volume lash is customized and handmade.

How long would it take if I let my eyelash extensions grow off?

A full of eyelash extensions would grow/shed off within 2 to 3 months. A full eyelash cycle can be anywhere from 21 to 90 days. The natural eyelash will shed accordingly to its natural growth cycle, and it will take the extension with it.

What does the lash process entail?

The Eyelash Extension process is done one lash at a time and is placed on one of your individual natural eyelashes. The adhesive can last about 3-6 weeks depending on how careful you are (the more you rub your eyes, wash your face, etc. the quicker the adhesive will wear off). If you get regular touch-ups (re-application of adhesive) the lashes can last longer.

Eyelash Extensions are better than mascara…. as they don’t run or leave black streaks on your face! They won’t come off if you cry, sweat, or go swimming. If you apply mascara to your eyelash extensions, it will breakdown the bond between the extension and the natural eyelashes, so it’s not advisable to wear mascara with your eyelash extensions.

The day of your appointment

Arrive at your service with no Mascara on your eyelashes. If you have been wearing mascara in the last couple days please be sure to cleanse your lashes a few extra times so that the mascara residue will be removed from your natural lashes. Coming in with any Mascara on could result in a longer appointment which means you could be charged an additional price or we will have to cut your lash session short.
Keep oils such as lotions and eye creams off your eye area.
Use the restroom before your appointment.
Do you not drink caffeine before your appointment.
Bring earbuds.

Please be on time as there are other Lash Dolls eager to start their appointment!

During your lash appointment

Your eyes should not itch, hurt or burn
Do not open your eyes during the service. If they are opened, the vapors from the adhesive could cause eyes to tear or burn
Relax, listen to music and take a lash nap

Eyelash Extension Aftercare:

Wait 24 hours before washing your lashes.
Remove excess make up with Borboleta make up remover and a clean cleansing brush
Dilute lash bath with water and brush through lashes in a downward motion, Rinse well
Dab closed lashes with a towel
Let extensions air dry, then brush, then air dry, then brush them again, use a lash wand to reveal clean, fluffy lashes
Cleanse lashes in the morning and evening to wash off the day and keep them squeaky clean. (if you’re not using borboleta makeup remover, use Neutrogena makeup wipes to remove eye makeup)
After applying eye make up, brush extensions one last time to get off any shadow that might have fallen on them.
Do not wear mascara, eyeliner pencil or gel eyeliner. Instead you can wear liquid eyeliner or eyeshadow with an angled brush as eyeliner.
Make sure to stay away from steam or high heat! Example: heat from the Oven, Grill, Bonfire, Steam from draining pasta, sauna, or Sweating at the gym.

Tips and tricks for Gorgeous Lashes

Do your hair and makeup first and then brush your eyelashes.
Please, Do Not use a Blow Dryer on your lashes. It causes them to crinkle and singe at the tips.
After swimming- Rinse with fresh water
If you’re around salt air/water for long periods of time, be sure to rinse with purified water.

Lash extensions last through a full growth cycle of natural eyelashes, typically 6 to 8 weeks. We lose between 2-5 single lashes every day. With that said, because each person’s lash growth is somewhat variable (just hair growth), we suggest lash maintenance every 3 to 4 weeks to maintain a full look.

Allergic Reaction Recommendations

If you think you are having any kind of reaction, please let us know.

Wash right away with sterilid foam wash to get rid of any bacteria or residue from old cosmetics
Use a sterile saline solution to rinse out any irritation and help flush out allergens of the eyes.
Use an eye drop containing Ketotifen- an antihistamine will help reduce the redness and irritation within the eye (Benadryl)

Go Lighter

“The thicker the lash extension, the heavier they are, and the more they will peel off and fall out.

Mind Your Eyes

Your super-rich night cream may help you wake up with a plump complexion, but it’s not doing your lash extensions any favors. Avoid your eye area if you must use heavy night creams. The oils from the cream will break up the adhesive and cause your lashes to fall off prematurely.

Sleep On Your Back

Bad news, stomach sleepers: sleeping with your face pushed into your pillow can cause your extensions to fall out more quickly. Instead, always try to sleep on your back, or tuck the pillow under your cheek so your lashes can stay untouched while you snooze.

Avoid Mascara Formulas

Good News!!! You don’t have to wear mascara once you have eyelash extensions! — Your extensions are much harder to remove and all that tugging is bad news for the life span of your eyelash extensions. Mascara leaves a residue that must be washed off before your lash appointment! If there is a residue, your extensions could shed prematurely.

Be Gentle

In general, try to avoid touching your eye area at all costs. After your shower, just brush them down and out—very lightly and without too much pressure—which will help them grow in the same direction. Your natural eyelashes are not permanent. They are replaced every 2-3 months by your body’s natural processes; this means that eyelash extensions will eventually fall off when the lashes under them do. For those several weeks, however, your beautiful lashes will not only remain in place, but they’ll replace mascara during that time as well.

Any changes made outside the 24 hour window will not incur a charge.

Changes made within 24 hours of your scheduled time will be charged 50% of your service.
